Terms of Service

1. Who May Use JumpOnion

• You must be at least 16 years old, or use the service with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
• If you upload or review a minor athlete's video, you represent that you have authority to do so.
• You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity under your account.

2. What the Service Does

• JumpOnion processes uploaded skating videos to extract frames, generate overlays, and provide biomechanical observations, diagnosis text, and training suggestions.
• Analysis is designed to be conservative: when evidence is unreliable, the system may show metrics without issuing a diagnosis.
• JumpOnion is an educational and training-support product, not medical advice and not a substitute for qualified coaching.

3. Video Processing and Retention

• Raw uploaded video is stored temporarily for processing and is deleted after processing; the retained visual artifact is WebP frame output rather than the original video.
• Current retention policy is tier-based: sandbox tasks may be cleaned after 7 days, L1 Basic and L2 Pro task artifacts may be cleaned after 30 days, and L3 Coach artifacts may be retained indefinitely while the account remains on that tier.
• If an account is downgraded from L3 Coach, retained artifacts may become subject to the non-Coach retention window on a later cleanup cycle.

4. Payments, Credits, and Refunds

• Payments are processed by Stripe. JumpOnion does not store full payment card details.
• All listed prices are inclusive of applicable taxes.
• Credits are charged only when the paid processing step is confirmed under the product flow.
• Refunds are limited to system failure, such as confirmed processing errors or timeouts that prevent delivery of the paid result.
• Poor source video quality, framing problems, lighting issues, or other input limitations do not create an automatic refund right.

5. Acceptable Use

• Upload only content you own or are authorized to analyze.
• Do not attempt to scrape, download, redistribute, or resell protected training assets or private user results.
• Do not use automation, abuse, reverse engineering, or security probing against the service.
• Do not upload illegal, harmful, or unrelated content.

6. Accuracy and Safety Limits

• JumpOnion is built around a zero-false-diagnosis principle, but no AI system is perfect.
• Results depend on usable footage, visible athlete body position, and reliable evidence in the clip.
• You remain responsible for coaching, supervision, and training safety decisions.

7. Data Requests and Account Deletion

• You may request account deletion and associated data cleanup by contacting support@jumponion.ai.
• Deletion requests are handled with a reasonable processing window and may be delayed for active disputes, fraud review, or legal compliance.
• Where applicable, we aim to support baseline privacy rights requests, including deletion and access.

8. Third-Party Infrastructure

• JumpOnion uses Supabase for authentication and storage, Cloudflare R2 for temporary video storage, Stripe for payments, and Modal.com for U.S.-based compute.
• AI generation and analysis components may also rely on approved model providers described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Suspension and Termination

• We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, payment fraud, policy violations, or security risk.
• We may also suspend service temporarily for maintenance, outages, or infrastructure issues.

10. Liability

JumpOnion is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JumpOnion disclaims warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Always consult a qualified coach before making technique or training changes, especially for young athletes.

11. Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material updates will be posted here with an updated effective date.
